Routers, PCs, printers, cameras, smart TVs, NAS drives, access points, switches: most homes and offices today have dozens of devices connected to the same network, and almost no one knows exactly how many there are, where they're physically located, or whether they're still reachable. When something stops working — the printer doesn't respond, the camera goes offline, a PC disappears from the network — you start guessing, unplugging cables at random, calling "the technician."
KNetMonitor was built to solve exactly this problem: a lightweight application that scans the local network, automatically discovers connected devices, and displays them on an interactive visual map, always updated in real time.

For those managing multiple networks — a site, a branch office, a lab, a test network — KNetMonitor supports multiple profiles: each with its own configuration, devices, and map, selectable from a single startup screen. And so you don't have to rename the same devices every time they reappear on a different network, a global archive automatically recognizes previously seen devices by their MAC address, instantly recalling their name and type.

Each discovered device appears as an icon on the map (PC, laptop, switch, router, camera, or generic device) with a colored ring showing its status at a glance: green for online, red for offline, gray for unknown. No guesswork needed: if something goes offline, you see it immediately, and an optional sound alert can notify you even when you're not looking at the screen.

Double-clicking a device instantly opens its key information: IP address, MAC address, operating system type (inferred from the ping TTL), response time, how long it's been online or offline. Right-clicking opens a menu with the most common diagnostic and remote administration actions: start a continuous ping in a dedicated window, run a traceroute, scan the most common ports to quickly see what service is running on that machine, open a remote desktop or SSH connection, access network shares, or even wake a sleeping PC with a Wake-on-LAN packet.
Every device found on the network can be easily edited from a convenient table linked to the database (of the active profile)
